I've designed this site for folks, who like me, are looking for some basic information on collecting and restoration of bench planes.  It's also an opportunity to share my collection with others who might be interested in learning about the history of woodworking planes and their evolution.   There's a lot to see on this site, especially if you like planes or reading drivel about collecting tools or hand planes.  Take your time, look around and if you don't see what you are looking for go to the contact page and leave me a message about what you ARE looking for.  Maybe I can help you find it.  This page is like Disneyland,  "Always changing, never finished" so make sure you check back often.  Thanks for stopping by.

What's New
Stanley Bailey No 2 c1930s

A nice example of a nearly unused mid-1930s era No 2. It was probably used once then placed back into the box for 80 years.

Not an endorsement, just good information
